Communications/Public Relations Committee
1. Composition:
a)
The President of LSNA shall be the chairperson.
b) Membership shall consist of the president of each DNA who may send
their representative if unable to attend.
2. Responsibilities:
a) Promote the contributions of nursing practice to the health and
well-being of Louisiana citizens.
b) Evaluate each issue of the Pelican News and any other regular publications
of the organization and make recommendations for change to the Board of
Directors.
c) Prepare and submit press releases as directed by the Board of Directors.
d) Submit a plan biennially to the Board of Directors for improving the
image of nursing in Louisiana, and, upon approval, assist in its implementation.
e) Submit a plan to the Board of Directors for informing the citizens
of Louisiana about the role of nursing in access to healthcare and as
providers of care. Upon approval, assist in implementation of the plan.
