Program Committee - (Members)
1. Composition
a) The vice-president of the association shall serve as chairperson.
b) Membership shall consist of at least 4 additional members appointed
by the Board of Directors, giving consideration to diversity in geographic
location, workplace position, and minority status.
2. Term of Office
a) The chairperson shall serve for two years.
b) Committee members shall serve for two years, or until a successor is
appointed.
3. Responsibilities
a) Establish guidelines, policies, and procedures for LSNA provided/co-provided
continuing education offerings, in compliance with the American Nurses
Credentialing Center (ANCC) standards for accreditation as a provider
unit
b) Monitor and coordinate all activities related to LSNA status as an
ANCC accredited provider of continuing education for nurses.
c)Plan the focus of and program schedule for the convention and other
programs of LSNA.
d) Coordinate overall convention activities.
e) Evaluate the effectiveness of program offerings and submit a written
report to the Board of Directors.
4. Meetings
and Quorum
a) Meetings
shall be held at least annually.
b) A majority of its members shall constitute a quorum.
