Resolution and Bylaws Committee
- (members)
1. Composition
a) A chairperson
elected by the House of Delegates shall also serve as a member of the
Board of Directors.
b) Membership
shall consist of at least 4 additional members appointed by the Board
of Directors, giving consideration to diversity in geographic location,
workplace position, and minority status.
2. Term of Office
a) The chairperson
shall serve for four years.
b) Committee
members shall serve for two years, or until a successor is appointed.
3. Responsibilities
a) Evaluate
proposed amendments to the bylaws of this association.
b) Submit
proposed amendments to the bylaws to the House of Delegates in accordance
with provisions for amendments to these bylaws.
c) Review
the bylaws of any group seeking to become recognized as a DNA and make
recommendations to the Board.
d) Review
the bylaws of DNAs for congruency with LSNA bylaws.
e) Develop,
review, and monitor the process for presentation of resolutions to the
House of Delegates.
f) Receive
and present proposed resolutions to the House of Delegates.
4. Meetings and Quorum:
a) Meetings
shall be held at least annually.
b) The majority
of committee members shall constitute a quorum.
