Overview: The LSNA Legislative Conference will highlight the importance of engagement and advocacy in the legislative process. Hear current information about the changing landscape of healthcare in Louisiana and learn how to interact effectively with legislators.
Learning Outcome: Nurses in attendance will gain knowledge of the legislative process and apply that knowledge via observation and interaction with legislators.

1:00pm – 2:30pm: Presentation of Nurse Proclamation on Senate and House Floors
This activity has been submitted to Louisiana State Nurses Association for approval to award 5 contact hours. Louisiana State Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Successful Completion of this activity requires the following:
1.You must be present no later than 10 min. after the start of the program and attend the entire program.
2.None of the speakers or planners have any conflicts of interest.
3.No commercial interest has provided financial or in-kind support for this educational activity.
