NEW NURSE HUDDLE: Challenges and Choices

Overview: This program is designed for those nurses early in their career; less than three years out of nursing school. Early career nurses face many challenges and choices during the transition to practice phase of their career. What is a huddle? A meeting of team members to formulate a game plan for what lies ahead as the next play or planning for service delivery for the workday.  This program will focus on navigating today’s work environment, handling the incivility that occurs in healthcare, developing strategies for overcoming the challenges and choices facing nurses early in their career and

discuss approaches to leadership and professional development.

This program consists of 5.5 contact hours of continuing nursing education provided by the Louisiana State Nurses Association. 

 Louisiana State Nurses Association Provider Unit is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

To earn CNE credit, the participant must: (1) be present no later than 10 minutes after start of the program (2) attend the entire program (3) submit a completed program evaluation.
